Education Minister

The Jackson Institute of Innovation and Leadership (JILL) will mark this year’s World Youth Day with students of Konongo Odumase Senior High School on Thursday, August 12, 2021 as part of its efforts to mentor young people to be innovative.

The day is set aside annually by the United Nations (UN) to empower the youth across the globe to contribute positively to their communities and nations.

It is in line with this objective that JIIL has chosen to mark the day with students of Konongo Odumase Senior High Students to develop their capacities to solve problems through academic training.

The theme for the celebration is, “Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today to Solve Critical National Issues.”

The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum would be on hand to mentor the students on leadership and academic progression.

As the sector Minister, Dr. Adutwum is expected to counsel the students on the need to prioritise their education and aspire to become responsible leaders.

Mrs. Theodosia Jackson, Principal of Jackson College of Education believes the students would tap into the vast experience and knowledge of the Education Minister to shape their development.

She said Dr. Adutwum has the capacity to mentor the younger generation into critical thinkers and urged the students to take advantage of the unique opportunity to listen to one of the best brains in the education that Ghana can boast of.
