The Progressive People’s Party has set every December 7th as its official FixTheConstitution Day.

It is in line with the party’s objective of achieving the progress of Ghanaians through the amendments of the 1992 constitution.

Which includes the amendments of the MMDCEs (Articles 242(d) and 243(1) & 243(3); Separate MPs from Ministers (Article 78(1); Attorney General (Article 88); Public Declaration of Assets (Articles 286(1) & 26(3) and Ghanaians in the Diaspora (Article 94(2) (a) for clarity.

The FixTheconstitution Day will see a collaboration with civil society organizations and other democratic institutions.

The party disclosed that the collaboration will seek to achieve an in-depth discussion on the constitutional amendments and demand reforms on behalf of Ghanaians.
