Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac has been sacked by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
This follows a crunch meeting by the Ministry of Sports and the GFA on Friday.
The GFA has come under fire after Ghana’s poor show ever at the continental African football festival.
An official statement on the exit of the coach is expected to be released soon by the GFA.
Information went viral on Saturday morning about the exit of the coach whose performance did not meet the expectations of Ghanaians after the Black Stars crashed out of the group stage of the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
A big upset was recorded at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroon following the 3-2 win secured by Comoros on Tuesday night in their final group game against Ghana’s Black Stars.
The result left the four-time champions, who earlier lost 1-0 to Morocco and drew 1-1 with Gabon, bottom on the table with one point, while Comoros picked up the third spot and are in a position to qualify to the Round of 16 as one of the four best third-placed sides.
