The court presided over by His Honour Micheal Ampadu has adjourned the case to Thursday, 17th of March 2022.

However, a letter signed by the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Daniel Kwaku Botwe said that the MCE has been suspended from office with immediate effect pending an inquiry into his encounter with the Police on February 3, 2022.

“Without prejudice to the matter now before court, the government takes a very dim view of the comments made by the Metropolitan Chief Executive during his exchanges with the Police,” he indicated.
