An Accra Circuit Court has granted a bail to the tune of GHC 100,000 to the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC.
The court presided over by Mrs. Adelaide Abui Keddy granted him after the prosecution led by Chief Inspector, Dennis Tekpetey didn’t oppose to the bail application.
The prosecution instead urged the court to put in place mechanisms that will ensure that Abronye DC attends court at all times.
Abronye was arraigned before court after the police charged and detained him after honouring their invitation to come and assist with investigations into claims that former President John Mahama was plotting a coup.
