Former Minister of Transport under the NDC administration Dzifa Aku Attivor was laid to rest over the weekend.
She was buried on Saturday, 19 February 2022 at her hometown, Abutia, in the Volta region.
She was 65.
The funeral was attended by former President John Dramani Mahama, leaders of the NDC among others.
The former Minister is reported to have died in the early hours of Tuesday, 16 November 2021 after a short illness.Dzifa Aku Attivor was a politician and businesswoman.
She was Minister for Transport in Ghana until her resignation in December 2015 due to a controversial bus re-branding contract.She was appointed in February 2013 by former President John Mahama after the general election in December 2012.
Ms Attivor was a member of the NDC.
She contested the Ho West constituency primaries of the NDC in 2008 but lost to Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah who subsequently won the elections in December 2008.
She was, however, appointed Deputy Minister for Transport by President John Atta Mills from 2009 to January 2012.
After John Mahama became President, she was appointed the substantive Minister for Transport.
