The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Salaga – South Honourable Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah has donated 50 packets of roofing sheets to victims of the rainstorm disaster that hit the Abromase, Kigbatito, and Kapieto communities in the Salaga-South Constituency this month.

Hon. Hajia Zuwera paid visits to the victims to solidarise with them in the affected areas. She did this in the company of the Zonal NADMO coordinator, Assemblymen for the affected areas, and some executives of the NDC to ascertain for herself the extent of the damage.

The rainstorm which destroyed properties worth thousands of Cedis ripped off the roofs of about a hundred (100) buildings hence rendering several residents homeless in the constituency.

Donating the relief items to the Zonal NADMO coordinator Mr. Alhassan Sule, Assemblyman for Abromase Electoral Area Hon. Karimu Sulemana and some opinion leaders of the communities for distribution amongst affected persons, the MP praised the community folks for the support and love extended to the affected victims during the disaster.

The MP further appealed to institutions and individuals especially the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to come to the aid of the victims by supporting them with more relief items.

The Assemblyman for Abromase Electoral Area Hon. Karim Sulemana alias Accra-boy on behalf of the victims and the beneficiary communities applauded the MP of the area for her selfless efforts to ensure that the affected persons receive some aid.

The Zonal NADMO coordinator Mr. Alhassan Sule who received the items on behalf of the victims thanked the MP Hon. Hajia Zuwera for the support and expressed the hope that the items would help alleviate the plight of the affected victims.

The MP was taken round to witness the level of devastation in Abromase by the Assemblyman, the Zonal NADMO coordinator as well the elders of the community.

At Kapieto, the Hon MP met with the community elders as well as the affected persons of the rainstorm and donated 10 packets of roofing sheets to assist the victims in re-roofing their homes.
