Writing good songs can be difficult for some musicians that is why most of them employ the services of others to do it for them but to Afro-Pop artiste Selarly songwriting is his hobby and does it with ease.

According to Selarly real name, Kelvin Selarly songwriting has become part of him and he is capable of writing about four songs in a day.

“Currently I have over 90 songs not part of my upcoming album and I’m looking forward to bringing some new and old artists on board my team to take up some of my songs. I am prepared to either sell the songs I have or give it out for free to any passionate musician I believe can do justice to the song,” he said.

Asked where he gets his inspiration from writing the songs, Selarly said “I mostly get my lyrics from everyday happenings. I write on anything; from love, motivation, politics and gospel” he said.

Selarly is preparing to release his maiden album titled, You Can Win, recorded by Eddy Kay beats. Songs on the album include Stand For Your Nation, Shall Be Well, You Can Win, Hustle Today, Money Power etc.

He chose You Can Win as the title of the album because he believes with the right mindset towards achieving your goals winning is possible; determination and dedication are key factors in that regard.

Talking about his frustrations in the music industry, Selarly said it is about time Ghanaians give up and coming artiste a chance.

“People are mostly addicted to already known famous music icons and find it difficult to give a chance to up and coming artiste. I believe if we do away with that and give new musicians a chance they will blow” he said.
