DAKAR, Senegal, May 27, 2022/ — Sizeable discoveries coupled with large-scale project developments have positioned the MSGBC region as a key driver of energy security, economic growth, and infrastructure buildup in Africa.

Projects such as the 15 trillion cubic feet (tcf) Greater Tortue Ahmeyim offshore development; the 20 tcf Yakaar-Teranga liquefied natural gas project; and the 13 tcf BirAllah project will be instrumental both for the continent as it moves to alleviate energy poverty and kickstart sustainable economic growth.

As regional players aim to unlock the potential of the region’s basins, Energy Capital & Power’s (ECP) upcoming MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power conference and exhibition – taking place from September 1-2 in Dakar, Senegal – serves to only enhance this agenda.
