The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) branch of Germany has accused outspoken journalist Bridget Otoo of insulting the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Akuffo Dampare following the IGP’s crossfire with the British High Commissioner recently.

According to NPP Germany, in her tweet, she said the IGP lacked comprehension of the English language and might have failed his English examination.

“Bridget Otoo who perhaps has only a bachelor’s degree is questioning Dr. Dampare of English comprehension?,” the group in a statement signed by its Communications Director, Nana Osei Boateng quizzed.

Below is the Full Statement:

BRIDGET OTOO INSULTS THE IGP

In a letter to the British High Commissioner, the IGP Dr. Akufo Dampare ask multiple questions on why the commissioner had in a tweet suggested that the Ghana Police Service’s arrest of Fix the Country convener, Oliver Baker Vormawor was discriminatory and targeted.

She ended the tweet by saying she will be interested in how far the case goes. And the IGP’s response questioned what will be done in the UK if anybody at all should break the traffic rules.

Bridget Otoo is also on Twitter attacking the IGP for writing that letter to the British High Commissioner.

In her tweet, she said the IGP lacked comprehension of the English language and might have failed his English examination. Bridget Otoo who perhaps has only a bachelor’s degree is questioning Dr. Dampare of English comprehension?

This is nothing but an attempt to insult the IGP. It appears she has been looking forward to this opportunity. Her insults are very hypocritical as she has been seen recently complaining bitterly about a guy who has been insulting her and other friends on Twitter. Her lack of respect for people is repulsive and such a person should be addressed as she addresses others.

As insignificant as she may be in the development of the country, such braggarts should not be allowed the space to spit anyhow and go free. She must be made to account for her irresponsible comments on others. The journalism space should be rid of people of such caliber and misdemeanor.

May God Bless Ghana and the IGP Dr. Akufo Dampare.
