The Black Stars of Ghana will face Brazil in a pre-World Cup friendly in September ahead of the world’s largest sports festival.

The much-anticipated game has been scheduled for September 23rd, 2022.

The Ghana Football Association [GFA] is bent on ensuring that the Black Stars are in the best shape for the tournament in Qatar in November.

Meanwhile, the venue and kickoff time for the all-important international friendly will be announced in the coming days.

However, it is understood that the match is likely to be played in Europe with most of the players of both teams plying their trade with top sides in Europe.

Ghana secured qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup after eliminating their arch-rivals Nigeria in the final playoff games.

The Black Stars of Ghana have been housed in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.

Ghana has engaged Brazil in four games without a win. The last time both nations met was in September 2011 when Ghana lost 1-0 to Seleção of Brazil in a friendly at Craven Cottage in London.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars have secured a game against Switzerland.
