Japhet Festus Gbede a deputy communication officer aspirant in the Akatsi South Constituency on Tuesday, 20th September 2022 released a statement urging his supporters and admirers to stay focused.

He also appealed to them to respect the values and principles of the NDC by shunning insults and rudeness to any aspirants qualified to contest on his behalf.

The outspoken communication team member of the Akatsi South NDC gave his advice in a Facebook post as he indicated that, his call is necessary to spark an issue-based campaign.

I will today, the 20th of September 2022, pick the expression of interest and nomination forms on the platform of the great National Democratic Congress, NDC, to contest for the position of Deputy Communications Officer in the Akatsi South Constituency, a part of his statement added.

In his declaration statement, Japhet Festus Gbede, an energetic, prolific, and enthusiastic young man who is well known to be connected to the heavyweights within his party, is poised to be an antidote to the weak communication machinery of the NDC in the Akatsi South Constituency.

The well-known blogger, web developer, and graphic designer stated that the NPP won the general elections of 2016 and 2020 on the basis of lies, that the NDC’s vote margin in the Akatsi South constituency is shrinking, and that the party needs technocrats, researchers, innovative ideas, and a united front to energize the party base.

I will today, the 20th of September 2022, pick the expression of interest and nomination forms on the platform of the great National Democratic Congress, NDC, to contest for the position of Deputy Communications Officer in the Akatsi South Constituency.

As I call on all of you to offer me that support in my quest to inject new energy, spirit, and vision into our weak communications machinery for a better NDC in the Akatsi South, I want to warn all my gallant supporters, volunteers, and other well-wishers within the party or even outside of it, not to go contrary to the values and principals of the Rawlings-founded NDC by engaging in insult or being rude to any other aspirant on my behalf, but to make sure the only source of disagreement should be the desire to get things right.

For years, you have witnessed my unflinching commitment to the course of the development of the NDC in Akatsi South, which is giving birth to my ambitions of helping to lead a revolutionary communication bureau for a resounding victory in 2024.

As I officially subject myself to a grueling crisscrossing of our constituency to warm my way into the hearts of our dear delegates across the 132 branches in the Akatsi South Constituency, I want to reiterate that buying the nomination forms today means we must redouble our efforts and commitment to the course until we are declared the winners.

As I wish my other aspirants the very best, I want to add that our prime objective should be how to make the NDC, which is the only party that truly cares for the good people of Ghana and continues to demonstrate that through its policies and actions, come back home stronger and more formidable during and after our internal polls. May I use this opportunity to call on all other aspirants to demand from their supporters an issue-based campaign for the betterment of our party?
