Award-Winning human-interest Investigative Series ‘Missing Children’ that seeks to reconnect and reunite missing children with their families put together by Award-Winning Journalist and News Editor of Atinka TV, Regina Asamoah has revealed plans to investigate children missing in other regions of Ghana.

According to Regina, she has already made some key contacts in some of these regions to pave way for massive investigative works to begin.

Missing Children has been able to reunite hundreds of missing children with their families.

2019 GJA Best Female Journalist, Regina Asamoah since May 2021, has focused on investigating where missing children are kept and sought to reunite these children with their families.

“We do not have to just tell a story but we have to tell a story that will make an impact and that is what I have been doing. In my 13 years of experience as a journalist, I have worked on so many stories and documentaries.

Moving forward, I intend to investigate other regions of Ghana on the same matter of Missing Children. I’ve already made some contacts on the grounds in areas like the Ashanti region, the Western region, and the Northern region.

We will visit orphanages and children’s homes in these regions and interact with the children and see whether the situation is the same here in Accra.

I have received lots of information from these regions long ago but due to logistical constraints and the fact that I single-handedly fund this project myself I was not able to take them up,” she said.

She was speaking in an interview with AmaGhana Online on the sidelines during the official launch and premiering of her Missing Children Documentary Series held at the Atinka Media Village in Accra on Friday 30th September 2022.

Others were Childcare NGOs and CSOs, Ministers of God, members of the diplomatic corps, social and gender activists, the beneficiary families reunited, and the general public.

The event was also used to raise some funds to support Regina and her team.

Regina further added……..“So in the Premiering, it was about me recounting the journey so far and what I have been able to do. I’m hoping that all those who came and listen to my story as well as those who will read should show some commitment or some support towards this initiative.

She admitted that this is supposed to be government work but society and all the people form part of the government system hence the need to render such support towards the project.
