President Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation of Alan Kyerematen as Minister of Trade and Industry.
This was after Mr. Kyerematen personally informed the President of his decision to resign from his post to concentrate on his political ambition.
A statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin, noted that the President thanked Mr. Kyerematen for his services to the government and country and wished him well.
The statement asked the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta to act as a caretaker Minister until a substantive minister is appointed.
Alan Kyerematen’s Resigantion
Mr. Kyerematen is said to have tendered in his resignation on Thursday, January 5 to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Kyerematen has, in the past, contested the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership race, losing on all occasions to Nana Akufo-Addo.
