Ahead of the 2024 Ghana Elections, the former Member of Parliament for the Akwatia Constituency, Hon. Baba Jamal has picked nomination forms and launched his campaign bid to take over the East Ayawaso seat.

He is contesting on the ticket of the opposition NDC.

During the launch, he outlined 15 key visionary pledges to the people of East Ayawaso when voted into office.

Speaking at the launch, he gave reasons as well as the rationale behind his bid to contest for East Ayawaso and rather not Akwatia. 

According to him, originally was born and bred in East Ayawaso, and for that matter, he believed he must endeavour to support the area through employment creation, the building of schools, and infrastructure, among others if voted into office during the forthcoming election.

He said, when voted into office, he is committed to creating an industrial fund that will support the training of 100 youths from the East Ayawaso every year in all artisanal professions starting from his second year in office.

Other target areas made by Hon Baba Jamal include: employment, lobbying for roads, creating a welfare fund to support education and health needs for the people, women’s empowerment, reconstruction of Nima Market into an Ultra modern market, Student aid, unity, and security, among others.

Baba Jamal advised candidates and voters to exhibit love, and discipline before, during, and after the election for the betterment of the nation, Ghana.
