NPP GERMANY LAUDS, WELCOMES NEW DAWN OF INTERVENTIONS FOR FIRE SERVICE
The Ruling NPP Branch of Germany finds it highly refreshing and commendable that the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not relenting in ensuring that security agencies and the Ghana National Fire Service alike get the best of resources to enhance their operations.
According to a Ghanaweb Report, on Thursday, 3 August 2023, Mr. Julius Kuunuor, the Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), along with several Directors of the Service, conducted an inspection of the newly received Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV) prototype from Toyota Ghana at the National Headquarters.
This is indeed amazing because State resourcing of security agencies is crucial for maintaining law and order, protecting citizens, and ensuring national security.
This news comes as a major intervention since without proper funding and resources, security agencies might struggle to stay ahead of evolving threats, leading to potential vulnerabilities and compromised safety.
The Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RVI) prototype is an exceptional all-rounder vehicle, meticulously designed to handle a variety of emergency situations. Its compact size allows it to navigate even difficult terrains, ensuring a prompt response to emergencies in challenging locations.
This development comes as the GNFS is eagerly anticipating the arrival of 200 of these cutting-edge RIVS in the country by the end of the year.
The addition of these vehicles is a crucial step in bolstering the Service’s fleet of rescue and firefighting engines, which have been showing signs of aging.
They will be stationed in accident-prone areas, strategically important locations with critical national installations, and all District Fire Stations currently without fire engines.
It is not surprising at all to acknowledge that it is only during the NPP tenure of office that all these massive development-oriented initiatives are being facilitated by the Akufo-Addo-led NPP government.
The NPP remains committed to resourcing our firefighters by providing adequate funding, equipment, training, and personnel to ensure effective life-saving response, and management.
The NPP further acknowledges that It’s crucial to continually assess and adapt resources based on changing environmental conditions and fire risk factors.
We will continue to urge the good people of Ghana to vote NPP and break the 8 in order to retain the NPP so that the next NPP administration in the helm of governance will continue to give off its best.
