Madam Cecilia Asaga, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Executive Committee (NEC), has urged women to rally behind the party and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming elections.

Madam Asaga’s appeal comes after a successful voter registration exercise in the Upper West Region, where she worked tirelessly to mobilize eligible voters and address concerns.

Her efforts demonstrate the party’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots presence and empowering women nationwide.

During her tour, Madam Asaga highlighted the NDC’s achievements, including the implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Free SHS, electrification, and expansion of educational, road, and health infrastructures.

She emphasized the importance of voting for the NDC to ensure the continuation of these policies and the introduction of new ones aimed at improving the lives of Ghanaians.

Madam Asaga also campaigned for the NDC’s parliamentary candidates, including incumbent MP Hon. Alhaji Rashid Pelpuo and Peter Lanchene Toobu, who shared sanitary pads on Women’s Menstrual Health Day.

Her tour has covered Wa East, Wa West, and Nadowli-Kaleo constituencies, with more destinations planned.

As a staunch advocate for women’s rights, Madam Asaga reaffirmed her party’s commitment to supporting women nationwide.

She emphasized the importance of empowering women for the progress and development of the nation.

Notably, Madam Asaga dedicated a whole day to distributing sanitary pads to women with Honourable Peter Lanchene Toobu on Women’s Menstrual Health Day, demonstrating her dedication to women’s empowerment despite her tight schedule.

“Marry the NDC for John Mahama to rescue us,” Madam Asaga urged Ghanaian women. “The NDC is committed to supporting women and ensuring their economic empowerment.
