The Zongo community feels betrayed by the assassination of Ahmed Suale.
The Muslim communities are disgruntled by the government’s response in finding the perpetrators of Ahmed’s killers.
The Coalition urges the general public to approach Kwame Asare Obeng A-plus with caution due to his deceptive lies and misinformation, as adjudged by a competent court in Accra.
Withholding self-confessed criminal information shall be deemed as aiding and abetting a crime, and therefore liable to sentence.
However, A-plus’s voluntary nature to provide the names of Ahmed Suale’s killers should be taken seriously by the police, and he should be provided with necessary security to facilitate the capture of the killers promptly.
WHY NOW: While questioning the motive behind the prolonged silence and withholding of this crucial information, we pray that it is not merely a political, or social media gimmick by Aplus.
Zongo is still grieving the gruesome death of Ahmed, so any attempt to exploit his memory for public attention would face serious consequences in the court of law as part of our acknowledged existential advocacy to find the perpetrators, whilst equally building a disciplined society through a responsive state institutions.
Finally, we would like to stress the need for the security agency to provide absolute protection for anti-corruption campaigners in Ghana. Thank you.
