The Volta Regional coordinator of the Zongo Caucus of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress Hajia Hawa Tahiru has advised the people of Hohoe Constituency to desist from voting ‘skirt and Blouse’ in the upcoming December general elections.
This, she said in a campaign speech during the tour of the flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama to the Volta Region.
She indicated that voting for John Mahama as president and Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo is a decision that will help the general interest of the people of Hohoe Constituency for development.
“I want you to return Hohoe to the path of the NDC. Let’s not forget that, it would not sound pleasant for the second time in the history of Hohoe if John Dramani Mahama wins as president and another as the MP on the ticket of a different political party.
Let’s do this for the NDC to rescue Ghana and Hohoe . Let us do away with past experiences and reverse the Hohoe parliamentary seat to the path of the NDC.
In a related development, Hajia Hawa Tahiru advised the gathering to make frantic efforts to check their names and details on the voters register as the Electoral Commission intends embarking on a one-week exhibition exercise of the voters register for prospective voters ahead of the general elections commencing on Tuesday 20th August .
“Let’s do well to check our names on the voters register so that we can be sure that our votes will be part of the return of the NDC both in presidential and parliamentary elections”. She added
