On Sunday, February, 23, at exactly 10:30 am, the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra became a sea of green and white. APSUnians from diverse year groups gathered celebrated the 90th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass of St. Augustine’s College (Augusco).

The occasion was not just a moment of gratitude but a reaffirmation of the enduring spirit and values of Augusco. The Mass was well attended, with past students adorned in beautifully crafted outfits made from both the original APSU cloth and the special Augusco 90th Anniversary fabric. The sight of generations of APSUnians, from the earliest batches to the most recent, worshipping together in unity was a true testament to the lasting impact of the APSUnian spirit.

Prominent among the past students were one-time headmaster Mr. Samuel Seddoh (APSU ’55) and his dear wife, Auntie Evelyn, along with Hackman Owusu-Agyeman (APSU ’61), Dr. Patrick Kobla Quist (’61), Patrick Anumel (’71), Ato Hamilton (’70), and Prof. Charles Appeadu (’77), Mr. Seddoh served as the headmaster of St. Augustine’s College from 1969 to 1976. Before this, he taught Biology at the senior level and also served as housemaster on several occasions.

The homily delivered emphasized the importance of gratitude, service, and the responsibility of APSUnians to give back to their alma mater and society at large. With each prayer and hymn, a deep sense of nostalgia and pride filled the air, reminding all present of the school’s legacy of excellence and perseverance—Omnia Vincit Labor.

Following the Mass, a lively reception provided a perfect platform for networking and reminiscing. Laughter and hearty conversations echoed through the venue as APSUnians reconnected, shared fond memories, and discussed ways to continue supporting their beloved alma mater. The camaraderie was palpable, proving that though the years may pass, the APSUnian bond remains unbreakable.
