Leverage Microfinance Limited has opened its second branch in Kpone, near Tema, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive financial empowerment and bridging the access gap for underserved communities.
The launch follows the many years of success of its flagship branch in Dansoman.
The new Kpone branch is purposefully designed to bring accessible, secure, and community-driven financial services closer to the people.
With a special focus on micro-entrepreneurs, traders, salaried workers, and agribusiness operators, Leverage Microfinance aims to catalyze local economic development through responsive and ethical financial solutions.
“Our presence in Kpone is not just a business expansion—it is a commitment to shared growth, responsible banking, and genuine community partnership,” said Major General Nicholas Peter Andoh (Rtd), Board Chairman of Leverage Microfinance, during the commissioning ceremony. “We are not here to simply open accounts—we are here to open doors.”
A Suite of Tailored Products
Leverage Microfinance offers a robust portfolio of financial products to meet the diverse needs of individuals and businesses including Business Loans (Import & Export), Group Loans, Personal Loans (Salary, Controller loans), Susu Contributions, Fixed-Term Investment Deposits etc.
The newly launched branch will provide all these services with the same transparency, professionalism, and client-first approach that has earned Leverage Microfinance the trust of its clientele across the Greater Accra Region.
Empowering Communities with Integrity
In his keynote address, banking veteran and former Principal of the National Banking College, Phillip Kwasi Buaben, emphasized the need for integrity and discipline within Ghana’s financial services sector. “The post-cleanup era demands not only regulatory compliance but also ethical commitment from both institutions and clients. Leverage has exemplified what it means to grow with values.” he said.

Leverage Microfinance has built a strong reputation for resilience and regulatory compliance, emerging as one of the trusted institutions during the banking sector cleanup.
The company credits its survival to prudent financial management and strong internal controls that continue to shape its operations.
Community-Endorsed Growth
Representatives from the Kpone Traditional Council and members of the National Association of Microfinance Companies were present to witness the grand opening.
Both groups applauded Leverage’s bold expansion and pledged their support in facilitating a productive and trustworthy operating environment.
“We welcome Leverage Microfinance into our community and commend their efforts to create financial opportunities for our people,” a representative of the Kpone Traditional Council remarked.
