Eleven sporting disciplines have departed Ghana for Algeria to participate in the maiden African Schools Games, scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 5, 2025.
The disciplines include Boxing, Basketball, Cycling, Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Beach Canoe, Taekwondo, Judo, Beach Volleyball and Tennis.
The Games will be held in four cities: Annaba, Skikda, Constantine, and Setif.
Team Ghana were in high spirits as they left for the Games.
Many sports officials, fans and journalists feel the Games is in the right direction as it will show the young athletes the way to become stars.
