Communication is one of the strongest foundations of a healthy marriage. When communication becomes weak, repetitive, or one-sided, couples can slowly begin to feel distant from each other, even while living under the same roof.
I began to notice this in my own marriage.
My wife and I were not intentionally drifting apart, but life was becoming busy. Work, shift changes, tiredness, and daily responsibilities meant that many of our conversations became limited to greetings, quick updates, and “I love you” messages. Those things are important, but I realised we needed deeper conversations too.
One night, I wanted to discuss something important with my wife, but when she got home, she was exhausted and fast asleep. That moment made me think seriously about how many couples may be going through the same thing — loving each other, but struggling to find the right time, words, or setting to connect deeply.
That was when the idea for One Flesh was born.
One Flesh is a Christian card game for couples designed to help husbands and wives start meaningful conversations, pray together, laugh together, understand each other better, and grow closer to God and to one another.
I started building it as a web app and have continued improving it through testing, feedback, and real use. So far, it has gone through many major and minor updates, and every issue I found helped me make it better.
For the past two weeks, I have been testing One Flesh with my wife, and it has genuinely helped us communicate more deeply. Some of the questions have opened up conversations we may not have had naturally. It has helped us listen better, understand each other from a fresh perspective, and enjoy intentional moments together.
That is the heart behind One Flesh.
It is not just a game. It is a simple tool to help couples slow down, talk honestly, reconnect, and build stronger relationships.
If you are married, preparing for marriage, dating intentionally, or even single and interested in building healthy relationship habits, I invite you to try One Flesh.
Your feedback, reviews, prayers, and donations will help support the continued development of One Flesh as we work towards turning it into a full app for various devices.
