Days of Favour
“The Lord has done this for me,” she said. “In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people.” Luke 1:25
After many years of living with the pain of barrenness, God graciously visited Zechariah and Elizabeth. In His appointed time, He answered their prayers and blessed them with a son.
When Elizabeth conceived in her old age, she declared, “The Lord has done this for me… In these days He has shown me His favour and taken away my disgrace among the people” (Luke 1:25).
Once again, we see that favour begins with God. It is His gracious initiative. In His perfect timing, He chose to visit Zechariah and Elizabeth with His favour, turning years of disappointment into overwhelming joy.
In the same way, God visits His children with His favour. His favour changes our circumstances, reverses impossible situations, and removes every trace of shame and reproach.
May God’s favour rest upon you. May every season of disgrace give way to honour, and every long-standing burden be replaced with joy and thanksgiving.
We are living in the days of God’s favour. Those who have been disgraced will be called blessed by the Lord, for He is able to do what no one else can. Shalom.
Prayer: Pray that God will visit you with His favour, turn every difficult situation around, and remove every form of shame and reproach from your life.
