The Most High
I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me. Psalms 57:2
David was being pursued by Saul, the king of Israel, and the entire state apparatus. Yet, in the midst of this overwhelming situation, David lifted his voice and cried out to God, the Most High.
David acknowledged that his God was far greater than any problem he faced. Saul was king, but God is the Most High King. No matter how powerful the opposition may seem, there is One who is higher and greater than all.
David cried out to the God who accomplishes all things. In other words, God is able to complete everything He begins.
David had been anointed to be king, yet instead of sitting in a palace, he was hiding in a cave. The situation looked completely different from what God had promised. Yet David continued to trust that what God had started, He was able to complete.
Sometimes, our circumstances may not look anything like the promises of God. We may find ourselves in places we never expected to be. But God is not limited by our circumstances. What He has purposed, He is able to accomplish.
Lift your voice to the Most High God, who is able to perfect everything that concerns you.
The challenges we face may be great, but our God is the Most High. He will work out His purposes, even when the situation looks difficult, confusing, or hopeless.
So, look up to God Most High and not at the problem. Fix your eyes on the One who is greater than what you are facing. God will see you through this one too. Shalom.
Prayer: Pray that God will accomplish all that He has purposed and said concerning you because He is the Most High God.
