Asante Kotoko’s CAF Champions League game against Al-Hilal in Sudan has been called off after seven players and four officials tested positive for Covid-19.

The Ghana Premier League powerhouse were in Sudan to play the return fixture of their CAF Champions League game, after falling to a 0-1 defeat at home to Al-Hilal.

However, a mandatory Covid-19 test conducted before the match, however, returned seven players and four officials have tested positive.

The Ghanaian outfit remain highly suspicious of the test results released by the Sudanese officials.

In a tweet, Kotoko said: “Al Hilal vrs Asante Kotoko Game called off as we await CAF decision. Asante Kotoko has officially petitioned CAF on the overwhelming anomalies [associated] with our covid 19 results”.
