MCE, MMDCE
Women Empowerment

In the quest to ensuring a gender balance inclusive society towards fulfilling sustainable development goals and better governance in Ghana, AbibiNsroma Foundation is appealing to President Nana Akufo-Addo and his decision-makers to consider more women appointments as MMDCEs.

Sustainable development goal 5 which is Gender Equality: “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”.

We need to see significant progress towards achieving the global targets and this means the involvement of women and girls in decision and policy making would contribute significantly to our national development.

Currently, women in Ghana’s parliament are 37 out of 275. We must collectively advance appreciation of more women in other sectors of the economy and try to keep it sustained

The president has an opportunity to appoint more qualified women as MMDCEs to compliment Ghana’s striving agenda to involve and benefit from the needful contributions women provide.

AbibiNsroma Foundation affirms strongly that in the scheme things as it prevails now with the president about appointing MMDCEs, we encourage Mr. President to use this moment to increase the number of women in the development of Ghana.

Signed…

Mr. Robert Amiteye

Coordinator of Abibinsroma Foundation
