As I Grow (NGO), a nonprofit organization in the Eastern Region whose activities are mainly geared towards providing a lifeline for people in the deprived communities and rural areas have reached out to the New Asuoya Roman Catholic Primary School in the Akuapem North Municipality.

The donation forms part of the organization’s mission to help improve the quality of healthcare, education, and the general living standards of people in deprived communities.

Addressing the press, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of As I Grow (NGO) Mr. Debrah Bekoe Isaac explained that the aim of the donation is to help improve the quality of education.

“The organization was quite surprised to have heard the school over ten years now don’t have a drum and that has been one of the school’s major problems”

He further continued “because the school lacks basic things like a drum, football, and toys for the little ones most of the kids refuse to come to school because there is no form of entertainment in the school”

Mr. Debrah Bekoe said there had to be a rescue as a matter of urgency after his outfit had a call from the school Head Mistress Madam Laurencia Agboglati calling on the NGO to come to their support.

“So upon hearing this, the NGO immediately put itself together to come and help with some of the things, at least the little we can do will put some smiles on the faces of the kids and as we got here everyone can testify how happy they are and that’s how the world should be,” he said.
