Ghanaian International and former Black Stars midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah alongside Black Stars’ new wonder kid and AS Roma striker Felix Afena Gyan have been billed to participate in this year’s Calcio (Football) Trade Ball, The All-Stars Game.

The two professionals would be throwing their weight behind the newly launched 2022 edition of the event.

This renowned sporting event which is an initiative and a collaboration between Arthur Legacy Sports and Italian Embassy, Ghana has bounced back in a grand style after three years of break.

At the official media launch held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra yesterday, Oliver Arthur, CEO of Arthur Legacy Sports pointed out that this year’s edition is not just a Dinner Gala, but rather a whole project on its own.

He revealed that as a result, a three-day program has been rolled out to commemorate this year’s project (9th edition) starting with a seminar on player exploitation on June 16, followed by an All-Star special football game at the Accra Stadium.

The final day which is the third day would be crowned with a Dinner Gala.

Oliver Arthur said “Football in Italy means Calcio. This year’s edition is not just a dinner Gala but a project. We will be addressing player exploitation, which can even start from parents of players by the (parents) falsifying ages of their wards. If we don’t tackle it, it will destroy our football,” he said.

He expressed his utmost gratitude to the Italian Embassy in Accra for their unflinching support over the past years.

Ghana’s Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Mustapha Ussif on his part commended the organizers of the project-Arthur Legacy.
