Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong has pledged his full support for the Ghana Navy indicating that his outfit will provide 3 speedboats to the Ghana Navy to help facilitate their operations.

He said this will go a long way to ensuring that there is a provision of safety and care along the various water bodies.

“The management of the Jospong Group has decided that in supporting this, we want to provide three speedboats to the Ghana Navy as a support for the river monitoring and its operations,” he stated.

He made the disclosure at the official graduation ceremony of the 470 trained life guards held at the Eastern Naval Command on Monday, 30th May, 2022.

The training was aimed at youth empowerment which forms part of the Volta Lake Transport Safety Project (VLTSP) by the Ministry of Transport and Ecozoil Limited with requisite training in basic water skills, firefighting practicals, lifesaving skills, and endurance skills among others.

Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong further stated that the partnership between the Ghana Navy and his outfit has yielded many positive results and seeks to make a meaningful impact on Ghanaians through collaborative interventions and projects.

He also admonished Chief of Naval Staff, Real Admiral Issah Yakubu, and the Flag Commanding officer of the ENC, Commodore Ayensu for the provisions of the Naval Command and its facilities to ensure the success of the training.

He, however, expressed gratitude to the Minister for Transport Hon. Kwesi Ofori Asiama for the swift interventions and renewal of the Ecozoil projects in ensuring the safety of the various water bodies, especially the Volta Lake.
