COA Mixture Manufacturing Company Limited and  the Centre of Awareness and Global Peace Mission (COA-GPM)  are set to be headline sponsors of the upcoming 26th GJA Awards.

The massive sponsorship deal is worth GHC500, 000.

The historic announcement was made by the President-General of the COA Mixture Manufacturing Company Limited and Centre of Awareness and Global Peace Mission (COA-GPM), Prof. Ato Duncan, on Friday when the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) National Executive led by President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour paid a courtesy call on him at the factory of COA Mixture at Owusorekrom in Cape Coast in the Central Region.

The GJA President stated that the purpose of the visit was to introduce the new National GJA Executives to the President General of the COA Mixture and COA- GPM, solicit his support and invite him to chair the launch of the Journalists Support Fund on November 2, 2022.

The President General explained that his support for the GJA stems from his belief that it promotes democracy and peace.

He added that he hopes that his support for the GJA will help to deepen the country’s democracy, and thus help to ensure the peace that COA- GPM seeks in the country and the world.

“I will work with the media to provide peace education so that peace can be achieved.”

I’ll be a part of it and the lead sponsor with GH500,000.00” Prof. Duncan emphasised.

The GJA President, Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, who was moved by the overwhelming sponsorship support [the highest in GJA history], lavished praise on the President-General and thanked him for the honour bestowed upon him (Albert Dwumfour).

He emphasised the importance of the media assisting charitable institutions such as COA Mixture and COA GPM in growing so that they can support the Association and journalists in general.

He also stated that Prof. Duncan has been a pillar in his life, pledging to reciprocate the support for the realization of his [Prof Duncan’s] global peace mission.
