Daniel Wadieh, the Captain of the ‘Black Warriors,’ and his coach Fidel Falgade have just arrived in Namibia to represent the Ghana Mixed Martial Arts Federation (GHAMMAF) in the 2024 African Mixed Martial Arts Championship organized by IMMAF and the Namibia Mixed Martial Arts Association.

The team is currently going through the registration process, with the Director in charge of Africa, Mr. Raymond Philips, assisting them.

Team Ghana was supposed to be represented by two international athletes: Daniel Wadieh, the Captain based in the Netherlands, and Rene Gilles, a Ghanaian Amateur MMA athlete based in Germany.

Unfortunately, Gilles could not travel with Daniel due to a lack of sponsorship.

Collins Zoiku President of the Federation met Jeff, the Acting Head of Technical at the National Sports Authority (NSA), to discuss possible ways of supporting the team in future events in Europe and Asia this year.

Daniel and the president are still talking to many other Ghanaian foreign-based MMA athletes in Europe and America to volunteer their talents for Team Ghana.

“Make us proud Captain! Ghana for Gold,” he said.
