The World Alliance for Mercury-Free Dentistry salutes and commends the Ghana Ministry of Health for its pioneering action to create a National Calibration Centre to implement the phase out of dental amalgam and the other mercury-based medical devices with the National Calibration Centre launched in Accra (modernghana.com).

Ayekoo!!! Your action will accelerate the end of the use of dental amalgam in Ghana and across Africa.

Modern dentistry is toxic-free dentistry, mercury-free dentistry.

Dental amalgam is a colonial-era, tooth-unfriendly, pollutant: a health risk, an environmental disaster, and a workplace hazard.

Alternative tooth-filling materials are available, affordable, tooth friendly, and effective—and today technically superior to amalgam.

In our campaign to bring mercury-free dentistry to Ghana, the World Alliance is honored to partner with the Ghanaian NGO AKO Foundation.  We ask that you continue to work with this NGO and its leader, Kwame Ofori.

Medaase!!
