Ahead of this summer’s global football tournament, PUMA athlete and Morocco midfielder Samir El Mourabet has been called up to the national team to represent the nation in the United States with the Atlas Lions journey beginning in New York.

El Mourabet has secured his second national team call-up following his first appearance earlier this year in March. Speaking on what it means to wear the Moroccan jersey in Rabat earlier this year, the midfielder described it as ‘a real source of pride to represent my country’ on the global stage, while also sharing the team’s ambition to go ‘as far as possible in the competition.’

With 48 appearances for Strasbourg across the 2025/26 season, El Mourabet will look to continue his fine form in the United States where the Moroccan team will face Brazil, Scotland and Haiti in Group C, looking to build on their huge success at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where the team positioned fourth in the tournament.

With Morocco continuing to emerge as one of world football’s most exciting nations, PUMA’s own El Mourabet now has the opportunity to showcase his talent on one of the sport’s biggest stages this summer.
