Celebrated Ghanaian blogger, publicist, and philanthropist Emmanuel Sekyere Owusu, popularly known as Getinfomedia, marked his birthday by donating food and other essential items to vulnerable people on the streets of Accra.
The charitable exercise was carried out through the Getinfo Foundation, an initiative founded by Emmanuel Sekyere Owusu to provide support for the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.
As part of the outreach, beneficiaries received freshly prepared rice meals, bottled water, soft drinks, and other essential items. The donation formed part of Emmanuel’s annual birthday tradition of giving back to society as a way of expressing gratitude to God for His blessings, guidance, and faithfulness throughout his life.
Speaking during the outreach, Emmanuel Sekyere Owusu said celebrating his birthday with people in need brings him immense joy and fulfilment.
“I am excited to celebrate my birthday with people on the streets of Accra. I couldn’t sit back and celebrate alone while many people around me are in need. Giving back touches my heart because I always reflect on where God has brought me from and how far He has brought me. This is my way of showing gratitude to God by putting smiles on the faces of others,” he said.
He further assured the public that the Getinfo Foundation will continue to undertake similar humanitarian projects as part of its commitment to improving lives and supporting vulnerable communities across Ghana.
The outreach was supported by family members, friends, and colleagues, who volunteered their time to distribute the food and interact with beneficiaries, creating an atmosphere of compassion and hope.
This is not the first time Emmanuel Sekyere Owusu has celebrated his birthday through charitable activities. In 2025, he visited the SK Darko Gracious Foundation Orphanage Home, where he donated bags of rice, bottled water, soft drinks, toiletries, and other essential supplies to support the children and management of the facility.
Although yet to be officially launched, the Getinfo Foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting the less privileged through charitable donations, community outreach programmes, and social responsibility initiatives aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable people across Ghana.
The latest outreach further reflects Emmanuel Sekyere Owusu’s commitment to using his platform not only to inform and inspire but also to make a meaningful impact on society through acts of kindness and philanthropy.
