Foundational Principle

For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

This short verse of Scripture contains a foundational principle for Christian living: the believer lives by faith and not by sight.

The Christian life is built on faith in God rather than on what is seen. Faith means trusting God, having confidence in His character, and relying on Him in every situation.

Believers are called to live by faith instead of being controlled by what they see. This means that our decisions, attitudes, and responses to life are governed by our trust in God and His promises.

Living by faith does not mean ignoring reality or denying the challenges before us. Rather, it means that we do not allow our circumstances to determine our hope, peace, or response. Instead, we view every situation through the lens of our faith in God.

The believer responds to life’s challenges based on the assurance that God is present, faithful, and able to accomplish His purposes.

Faith in God shapes every choice we make and every step we take. It is a life that is centred not on ourselves or our circumstances, but on God.

A life of faith is the foundation of the Christian walk.

We live by faith, trusting the One who holds our future. Shalom.

Prayer:Pray for grace to be governed by faith in God instead of what we see.
