Accra, Saturday, September 19, 2026 — The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has extended the deadline for the submission of entries for the 30th GJA Media Awards from Friday, September 18 to Friday, September 25, 2026.
The original deadline was announced at a news conference held on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
The GJA National Executive took the decision to extend the deadline to provide journalists whose 2025 membership applications have been vetted and approved recently, with a grace period to enable them to submit entries for the awards.
The Association therefore encourages all members in good standing who are yet to submit their stories and other eligible works produced in 2025 to take advantage of the additional one-week window and submit their entries for consideration for the honours.
