Answered Prayer
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7
A mark of fruitfulness is that we experience the power of answered prayer.
This verse gives us important conditions for experiencing answered prayer and fruitful living.
For our prayers to be answered, we must have a vibrant fellowship and intimate relationship with Christ. Abiding is more than simply staying; it is remaining deeply connected to Christ and cultivating a close relationship with Him daily.
We must be in Christ, and Christ must be in us. Our relationship with Him must be alive, growing, and firmly established.
Jesus also says that His words must abide in us. The word used here, rhema, refers to a specific word, saying, or declaration. It speaks of God’s Word becoming personal and active in our hearts and lives.
When these conditions are present – when we abide in Christ, Christ abides in us, and His Word remains in us – we can confidently bring our requests before God. As we align our hearts with Him and His Word, our prayers become an expression of our relationship with Him, and Christ is increasingly revealed through our lives.
Fruitfulness is therefore not merely about what we produce; it is also reflected in a life that is deeply connected to Christ and experiences the power of prayer.
When we abide in Him, and He abides in us, and His Word remains in us, our lives become fruitful and our prayers are aligned with His will. Shalom.
Prayer: Pray that your life will continually bear fruit as you abide in Christ, allowing Him and His Word to dwell richly in you.
