Investigations have exposed a pattern of grand corruption, procurement fraud, extortion and financial embezzlement across multiple Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges (NMTCs) in Ghana, said to have originated during Victoria Amoah’s tenure at Tepa NMTC and continued at Sunyani NMTC.

Madam Victoria Amoah Principal, Sunyani Nursing & Midwifery Training College has been cited in this massive fraud.

Findings further alleges that political manoeuvring helped secure her reinstatement and appointment as Principal at Sunyani, and claims that public funds were being siphoned to establish a private NMTC following a planned resignation from public service.

Further probe revealed that Amoah worked in collusion with a former boyfriend and business associate identified as “Rex,” who was reportedly involved in illicit transactions, kickback schemes and procurement fraud at Tepa NMTC.

Also more than GH¢9.7 million was siphoned through allegedly inflated contracts, ghost allocations and illegal fees.

It also alleges that the relationship collapsed amid disagreements over the sharing of kickbacks and proceeds, and that Rex possesses records of bank accounts, cash drops and proxy arrangements.
