Preparations for the Young African AI Innovation Challenge (YAIC) School Competition are gathering momentum as students refine their projects ahead of the October 21 and 23, 2026 event.
On Thursday, the YAIC team visited Treasureland Academy and Havilah Precious Gold International School to assess students’ progress, address their questions and provide guidance ahead of the competition.
During the visits, some students showcased prototypes they had developed, while others were putting the finishing touches to their pitches.
Their enthusiasm and excitement highlighted their commitment to developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
The engagements also gave students an opportunity to receive feedback and clarify aspects of their projects as they prepare to present their ideas.
YAIC provides a platform for young people aged 10 to 18 to identify problems, explore artificial intelligence and technology, and develop practical solutions that can make a difference in their communities.
With the competition dates fast approaching, the school visits mark an important step in ensuring that participants receive the encouragement and support needed to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills.
The YAIC School Competition is scheduled for October 21 and 23, 2026, bringing together the efforts and ideas of young innovators eager to demonstrate what they can achieve through technology.
