Viewers on DStv and GOtv can look forward to seeing one of Africa’s top footballers, Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, in crucial Serie A action on Sunday 6 March 2022.

DStv and GOtv is the only true home of football in Africa, offering a range and depth of action that no other rival can match – it’s literally ‘Unbeatable Football’! If you’re going to spend your money on something, it may as well be on the best football in the world.

Koulibaly recently helped his national team, the Teranga Lions of Senegal, win the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations for the first time ever, as they defeated Egypt on penalties in the final.

Yet having indelibly written his name into the history of Senegalese football, Koulibaly this season has the chance to become even more of a Napoli legend than he already is.

The Neapolitans are very much in the race for the Serie A title, as they look to fend off the challenges of Internazionale and AC Milan to claim the Scudetto for the first time since 1990 – when the late, great Diego Maradona (after whom their stadium is now named) still played for the ‘Gli Azzurri’.

And this Sunday presents a key match in regards to that aim, as Napoli welcome AC Milan to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for a massive ‘six-pointer’.

“We must continue believing because we’ve done well so far,” said Koulibaly on his team’s title hopes. “Now it’s up to us to make Napoli’s dreams come true. It’ll be tough, but the fans must know we will give 200 percent.”

The Senegalese centre-back is also set to become club captain for the Neapolitans when the beloved Lorenzo Insigne moves on to Toronto FC in Major League Soccer at the end of the season.

“I don’t think we need to talk about this now, Lorenzo is the captain and symbol of Napoli,” said Koulibaly. “I live in the present, we’ve got a race to the end of the league and at the very least want to finish in the top four and anything more is a bonus, but we’ll work hard to achieve the bonus, which is what we all want.”

With Koulibaly keeping things tight at the back, Cameroon’s  Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa at the heart of the midfield ‘engine room’ and Nigerian Victor Osimhen as the attacking spearhead, a Serie A title win for Napoli would also be a feather in the cap for African football.
