Nana Sam Gyan, President of the Ghana Boxing Supporters Union (GHABSU) has commended Mr. Alex Ntiamoah – Boakye CEO of Box Office and three other amazing promoters for staging the biggest promotion at the Trust Sports Emporium aka Bukom Boxing Arena on 15th July, 2024.

Speaking to Yours Truly in an exclusive interview at the office of Friends of Boxing (BOF), he said the ‘Fists of Carnage’ involving Michael Ansah aka ‘One Bullet’ against Derick ‘Show Love’ Quaye was a sell out as for the first time he saw that the fans wanted more than the package.

He hailed TwinStar, Ace Power and Aborigines Promotions as well as Cartel Events for putting up the amazing and memorable night together.

According to Nana Gyan who is a Master Percussionist, boxing and sports in general needs the fans and media.

He promised to be present for the next promotion by Ayitey Powers at the Bukom Boxing Arena on June 29.

“We want all boxing fans to be at the Arena so that we celebrate our sporting heroes. Boxing is sports entertainment so come and enjoy” he expressed.

He announced that GHABSU will storm the Garden City to support Osibor Promotions at the SG Mall on July 5, 2024 where two title would be competed for.

The GHABSU President was sad that Ghana Amateur Boxing has missed out in the 2024 Olympic Games.

“We are sad that the Black Bombers are out of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. This calls for us as a nation to sit up and find the reasons why. We need to invest more in Amateur Boxing” he expressed.

He called for a revamp of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) and organization / participation in more fights.

The President was accompanied by Secretary Nii Nettey Mustapha Nettey who is also a ring announcer with the GBA and Treasurer of the GBF.
