The High Court in Accra has convicted Editor for the Herald Newspaper, Larry Dogbey, over a case involving businessman and CEO of Springfield Group, Kevin Okyere, and Petraco SA.
Justice Isaac Addo handed down a seven-day imprisonment following the conviction.
In a post on social media, Larry Dogbey revealed his outlet “only reported on a petition filed by the multinational company Petraco SA with CID, EOCO, GIP, Attorney General”
“Ghana deserves better… Journalism is not a crime…” Mr Dogbey noted.
It has also been gathered that some media practitioners are searching for his whereabouts in solidarity with their colleague
