Every doctor begins as a student with a dream to make a difference. Recognising the importance of nurturing that dream, UBA Ghana proudly partnered with the Medical Students Association of the Family Health University Medical School to support its 2026 SRC Week celebration.
Held under the theme, “Healthy Communities, Strong Nation: Empowering Medical Students to Drive Change,” the week-long celebration challenged students to look beyond the classroom and embrace their role as future healthcare leaders committed to improving lives.
UBA’s sponsorship reflected the Bank’s belief that investing in young people is an investment in stronger communities and a brighter future.
Beyond the sponsorship, Adwoa Yeboah, Business Manager at Teshie Business Office also engaged students on practical financial solutions that can support them throughout their academic and professional journeys.
The Bank introduced participants to the benefits of its Prepaid Cards and demonstrated how cross-border transactions can be made seamlessly through PAPSS and AfriCash.
This solution was particularly relevant for the University’s Nigerian students, offering them a fast, secure, and convenient way to send and receive money across African borders
Expressing his appreciation, Bernard Opoku, President of the Medical Students Association thanked UBA Ghana for its support, describing the Bank’s contribution as instrumental to the success of the celebration.
As Africa’s Global Bank, UBA remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower the next generation of leaders, strengthen communities, and create opportunities that extend far beyond banking.
