Accra’s luxury lifestyle scene witnessed an unforgettable moment as Ghanaian perfume house Maison Yusif officially introduced its newest high-end fragrance, The Beast, a bold creation designed to challenge global perceptions of African luxury and craftsmanship.

The exclusive unveiling, held at the Pelican Hotel on Saturday, July 25, drew entrepreneurs, creatives, fashion enthusiasts, influencers and fragrance lovers who gathered to witness what the company believes marks the beginning of a new era for premium perfumes proudly made in Ghana.

Unlike conventional fragrances, The Beast was introduced as a symbol of authority, resilience and fearless ambition. The Parfum Extrême is crafted for individuals who naturally command respect and leave a lasting impression wherever they go.

With its rich composition and refined finish, the fragrance combines elegance with intensity, offering a scent profile that reflects confidence, discipline and uncompromising luxury.

Every bottle is carefully handcrafted in Accra, reinforcing Maison Yusif’s mission of producing world-class fragrances from the heart of Africa.

The launch event gave guests a first-hand experience of the perfume through an interactive fragrance session that explored its unique notes, craftsmanship and exceptional longevity.

Patrons also shared glowing reviews of Maison Yusif’s collections, describing the brand as one capable of competing with established international luxury perfume houses.

Founder and Creative Director Yusif Jnr Meizongo said the unveiling of The Beast represents far more than the introduction of another fragrance—it reflects the company’s determination to establish Africa as a global force in luxury perfumery.

According to him, Maison Yusif has always looked beyond Ghana’s borders, focusing on creating a brand capable of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the biggest names in the international fragrance industry.

“Our dream has never been limited to Ghana. We’ve always envisioned Maison Yusif becoming a respected global luxury fragrance house while proudly carrying the African identity,” he said.

Mr. Meizongo stressed that African brands must begin creating their own standards instead of continuously borrowing inspiration from foreign markets.

He noted that Maison Yusif is committed to changing global perceptions by proving that exceptional luxury products can originate from Ghana without compromising quality, originality or sophistication.

The entrepreneur explained that the company is deliberately building its own identity rather than competing directly with existing fragrance giants.
“We are not chasing anyone. We’re creating our own legacy as a niche royal fragrance house proudly designed, produced and perfected in Ghana,” he emphasized.

Sharing the inspiration behind The Beast, Mr. Meizongo disclosed that the creative team intentionally searched for a name that reflected dominance, confidence and unforgettable presence.

“The fragrance needed a name that immediately communicated power and character. After several ideas, ‘The Beast’ perfectly captured everything we wanted the perfume to represent,” he explained.

Looking ahead, Maison Yusif has set an ambitious target of expanding its footprint across Africa before making an even stronger impact on international luxury markets over the next decade.

For the company, The Beast is more than a premium perfume—it is a bold statement that Ghanaian creativity, innovation and craftsmanship have earned their place among the world’s finest luxury brands.

Maison Yusif Brand Ambassador Tyclev described The Beast as more than just a fragrance, saying it reflects confidence, strength and originality. “This is not just about smelling good; it’s about making a statement. The Beast is for people who are bold, fearless and unapologetically themselves,” he said.

“We have the talent, we have the creativity, and we have what it takes to compete with any luxury fragrance brand in the world. Maison Yusif is showing the world that excellence can come from Ghana,” Tyclev remarked.

Encouraging the public to support local brands, he called on Ghanaians to take pride in homegrown products.

“Let’s celebrate what we’re building here because this is only the beginning. I have no doubt that The Beast will become one of the most sought-after fragrances to come out of Africa,” he added.
