Ghanaian digital media platform Ameyaw TV is entering an exciting new chapter following the launch of a new production facility designed to support a wider range of premium video content and strengthen the platform’s position as one of the country’s leading digital-first media brands.
The expansion comes after years of steady growth for Ameyaw TV, which has evolved from a news-focused digital platform into a destination for documentaries, lifestyle programming, interviews, entertainment, travel features and original productions.
Founder Ameyaw Debrah says the decision to build a second studio was driven by creativity rather than necessity.
“When I built the original Ameyaw TV studio, it transformed the way we created content. But as our ideas became more ambitious, we quickly realized we had outgrown the space. There were stories we wanted to tell and productions we wanted to create that simply weren’t possible in the original studio.”
The newly completed Studio 2 provides a significantly larger and more versatile production environment, allowing multiple sets to be built and customized for different productions. The facility is designed for professional video production, photography, podcasts, interviews, talk shows, educational programming, branded content and commercial productions.
Unlike the original workspace, which primarily supported desk-based productions, Studio 2 offers the flexibility to create immersive visual experiences that can be adapted to suit different storytelling formats.
The investment represents one of the biggest milestones in the history of Ameyaw TV and reflects the company’s commitment to continually raising production standards within Ghana’s digital media industry.
The expansion also signals a shift in the platform’s content strategy. While entertainment news remains at the heart of the brand, Ameyaw TV plans to significantly increase its investment in original programming.
Upcoming productions will include lifestyle shows, documentaries, travel features, creator-focused content, business conversations, home improvement series, food programming and long-form interviews that explore stories beyond the headlines.
According to Debrah, audiences are increasingly looking for authentic storytelling and high-quality visual experiences.
“People don’t just want news anymore. They want stories that inspire, educate and entertain. Studio 2 gives us the creative freedom to experiment with new formats and produce content that meets international standards while staying authentically African.”
The expansion is also expected to create new opportunities for brands, creators and production partners seeking professional studio facilities for content creation. With multiple customizable sets and modern production equipment, the studio has been designed to accommodate collaborations across television, digital media and commercial advertising.
As digital consumption continues to rise across Africa, investments in original content and production infrastructure are becoming increasingly important. Ameyaw TV believes its new studio positions the platform to respond to changing audience preferences while creating a sustainable ecosystem for creators and advertisers.
For Ameyaw Debrah, the new studio is more than just an upgraded workspace—it represents the next phase of a vision that began with a simple goal of telling African stories through digital media.
With Studio 2 now operational, Ameyaw TV is preparing to roll out an expanded slate of original productions, marking the beginning of a bold new era for the platform as it continues to redefine digital storytelling in Ghana and beyond.
