Praising With Faith
I will praise You, O Lord, among the people; I will sing to You among the nations. Psalms 57:9
In the cave, David committed to praising God among the peoples and declaring God’s goodness among the nations.
David was declaring by faith that a time would come when he would be free from the cave and no longer be running from Saul. When that day came, he would praise God among the peoples and proclaim God’s greatness to the nations.
When faith is at work, we see beyond our present circumstances and into the future God has promised. Faith enables us to speak about what God will do as though it were already a reality.
When we believe God to fulfill His promises in our lives, we need to see and speak about the future He has promised.
God never promised us a smooth-sailing journey. But He has promised us His presence to the very end.
While we face today’s challenges, we must learn to see with the eyes of faith and let our praise be filled with faith. We may not see the outcome yet, but we can trust that God is working and our deliverance is surely coming.
Therefore, we will praise God beyond our present circumstances. By faith, we can see into the years ahead when God would have established all His purposes concerning us. He is working everything together for our good!
Today’s troubles have an expiry date. They will not last forever.
So, praise God beyond your present. Praise Him with the eyes of faith. What God has promised, He is faithful to accomplish. Shalom.
