The Way, Truth and Life
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
Jesus once again made this emphatic statement, revealing His divinity: He is the way, the truth, and the life.
Jesus does not merely show us the way; He is the way. Through His death on the cross, He became the way for us to establish a relationship with God and be reconciled to Him.
Jesus is the truth. He came into this world full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Truth is the standard of reality, and Jesus is the embodiment of truth. He does not merely teach the truth; He is the truth.
Jesus is the life. That is, He is the source of eternal life – the very life of God in us. When we receive Jesus into our lives, His life comes to dwell in us.
Jesus is all we need to access, know, and experience God. In Him, we find the way to God, the truth about God, and the life that comes from God.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Shalom.
Prayer: Pray that you will continue to grow in the life and truth found in the person of Jesus Christ.
