The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah has donated one thousand and one hundred (1,100) pieces of Mathematical sets to the East Gonja Municipal Education Director to be distributed to all final year candidates ahead of the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which will be starting next week.

The donation of the learning materials according to the Salaga South Legislator is to support and motivate the students to undertake their examinations successfully. This, she said, is especially for the vulnerable amongst them.

Madam Christina Maabo Donzun, the Municipal Education Director who received the items expressed gratitude to the MP for her kind gesture and contributions towards preparing the students adequately for this examination. She assured the MP the mathematical sets would be distributed equitably among the students.

The MP Hon. Hajia Zuwera had earlier made a financial donation of Two Thousand and Five hundred (GHC 2,500.00) cash to enable the Municipal Education Directorate to organise and conduct Common Mock Examinations for the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates.

In a related story, the MP Hon. Hajia Zuwera has donated Fifty (50) Mono desks to the Salaga Senior High School to enhance teaching and learning.

The Hon Member of Parliament also promised to assist the Municipal Directorate of Education with an amount of One Thousand (1,000.00) Ghana Cedis to support the cost of transporting the BECE candidates from Abromase, Kafaba, Makango, and other areas to the examination centres in Salaga.

This, she said, will be in addition to catering for the feeding and other necessities that the candidates may require during the one-week Examination period.
