training ahead of Ivory Coast

Black Stars Coach, Milovan Rajevac and his team have begun preparations ahead of Friday’s encounter with Gabon in their second Group C match in the ongoing African Cup of Nations, (AFCON) in Cameroon.

The team has opened early training which is strictly behind closed doors.

On Tuesday evening, a day after Ghana lost 1-0 to Morocco, the Black Stars were spotted at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo Annex B Stadium for their recovery training session.

The Black Stars now have a daunting task to step up preparation ahead of a crucial game with Gabon.

Gabon sits on top of Group C with 3 points together with Morocco after both teams had earlier defeated Comoros and Ghana in their open day clash respectively.

Coach Milovan Rajevac admits his AFCON 2021 debut game was difficult yet he remains focused on his upcoming games.

“It was a difficult game for us, after all, were on the pitch two great teams of African football. Morocco scored on the first opportunity it had. I take this opportunity to congratulate Morocco and my players on the commitment shown on the pitch. We still have two games to go and we will stay focused on them. Right now we will keep our focus on the match.”

Ghana will face Gabon on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 7:00 pm local time. This is Ghana’s second training session since arriving in Yaounde.
